Timothy Bryan Stanfield
FLORENCE-Timothy Bryan Stanfield, 39, of Killen was sentenced in Federal Court late yesterday, July 6. 2015. He received a sentence of 130 months. Standfield was arrested on August 9th at his home after police determined he robbed the Bank Independent branch on Cox Creek Parkway at gunpoint.
Standfield was charged with several counts of first-degree robbery in the Shoals. As part of the plea in this case Standfield confessed to a total of 6 bank robberies which occurred in our area in 2013 and 2014.
It should be noted that several of the bank tellers who were victims in these cases testified in the sentencing hearing. According to Police sources this testimony played a great part in Stanfield’s sentencing of 11 years in the Federal Prison System.
