Selma O. McCaghren, 90, passed from this life June 7, 2015. She was born December 2, 1924 in Morgan County and was the youngest of nine children, who preceded her in death. Her parents were Joe and Francis McAbee.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Burnice Layton, her second husband, Marlin Johnson and her third husband J.T. McCaghren.
She is survived by her son, Don Layton (Freida); grandchildren, Connie Layton Moon (Jerry) and Crystal Layton Barnett (Eddie); and great-grandchildren, Dawn Barnett, Donavon Moon and Hayden Moon.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Visitation will be today, June 9, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Her graveside service will follow at noon at Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Brother Wayne Turner is officiating.
