Second Arrest Made In Athens Burglary From July 25

ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson announced the second arrest in a burglary case that took place on Theresa Lane in Athens on Monday, July 25:

“Yesterday afternoon Jamey Lee Carter was arrested for burglary 3rd degree.

Carter is the second person arrested in the burglary of a residence at 106 Theresa Lane that occurred on Monday. Don Edward Ryan was arrested Wednesday after Investigator Lance Royals with the Sheriff’s Department was working on an unrelated case when he developed a Ryan and Carter as suspects in the burglary.

Carter was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail. “
