Our beloved son, brother, and best friend Sebastian Alexander Brock was taken from this earth to abide with our Lord in eternal heaven on Monday, September 5th, 2022. The loss we endure as his light was extinguished from our world on this day is indescribable. Sebastian was a passionate and talented young man known for his generosity, kindness, loyalty, and deep empathy among his friends. He loved deeply but carefully, protecting his tender heart with his tough exterior. He was the glue in his circle of friends, the one they each knew without a doubt they could come to for help, advice, love and acceptance, or just “being there” for them in any circumstance. He was a giver. Though he could be deeply wounded by any who took from him without asking…all anyone ever had to do was ask, or simply present a need. Sebastian steadfastly refused to allow any friend in need to remain in need, whether physical or emotional. He was, in return, more deeply loved and respected than he could ever have imagined. Sebastian never strove to be popular. At all times, he was just Sebastian (or Bash, or Roost, depending on which name you chose to call him). He was a young man of absolutely no pretense. Bash was genuine in every facet of his life, and the popularity he never cared about simply sought him out. It was not uncommon to find 10, 15, or even more young men and women at Bash’s house, playing video games, watching movies, or jamming out until the wee hours of the morning, making all the music and loud noises one could imagine on the guitars, basses, drums, keys and microphones as they developed their talents. He would invite as many as his parents would allow (and then add a few more without permission), and it brought them more joy than he ever realized. Roost has left this realm too early, but his love and light have left an amazing impact. The depth of our grief is immeasurable as we struggle to consider how we will live without him. We love you Sebastian Brock, so very deeply. You will live in our hearts for all our days, and we will see you again in Heaven’s perfect light.
