Sean Tyler Smith, age 34, lovingly known as “Cave Man”, passed away on July 10, 2026, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on July 2, 2026. A memorial visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia.
Sean was preceded in death by his Grannie, Pauline Holmes; his great Aunt SueSue, and his Aunt Missy,
He is survived by his parents, Meredith and Joshua Peake of Tookiedoo, South Carolina; his son, Tyler of Clarksville, Tennessee; his sister, Sheleigha (Juan); his Maw-Maw, Patricia Sinclair; his Aunt Judy; his Great-Aunt Janice; his nieces, Milena and Willow; his nephews, Benicio and Leonardo; Joe Wood; and numerous cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Sean was born in Sheffield, Alabama, where he spent the early years of his childhood before moving to South Carolina with his family. He graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School in 2010. Later, he returned to the Tr-Cities area, where he remained until his passing.
As a registered organ donor, Sean’s final act of generosity will continue to bless others with the priceless gifts of life and hope. His legacy will live on through those whose lives he touched, both during his lifetime and through this selfless decision to give others a second chance.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Huntsville Hospital for the compassionate care they provided Sean during his final days. They also wish to thank the staff in the STICU Family Waiting Area and Legacy of Hope for the comfort, kindness, and support they gave the family.
