Scottsboro Woman Dies After Car Strikes Tree

JACKSON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle crash near the town of Paint Rock has taken the life of one person:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday, May 8, has claimed the life of a Scottsboro woman.

Tiajuana Cotton, 73, was fatally injured when the 2019 Toyota Camry that she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Cotton was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on U.S. 72 near Alabama 65, in Paint Rock city limits, in Jackson County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
