JACKSON COUNTY-The Jackson County sheriff’s Office issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with several felony drug charges:
“July 12, 2021 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at Skyline Shell Mart. The complaint indicated that a male subject was “passed out: in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputies observed Dustin WHITT “passed out” in the driver’s seat. Deputies also observed a 38 special revolver and two “loaded” syringes inside the vehicle WHITT was arrested and oxycodone hydrochloride pills and a clear baggie containing spice was found on his person. Also located inside of the vehicle were eight more syringes containing methamphetamine residue along with the two syringes loaded with methamphetamine, marijuana, a pair of brass knuckles, and a small carry bag that contained approximately 22.3 grams of methamphetamine/Ice, scales, and another clear baggie containing more spice.
WHITT age 36 of Scottsboro, AL. was arrested and charged with Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, Possession of controlled substances-Spice, Possession of controlled substances-Hydrocodone, Possession of marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a pistol without a permit and Possession of brass knuckles. WHITT remains in the Jackson County Jail on $21,600 bond.”
