Scottie "Rambo" Hood A Memorial Funeral service for Scottie “Rambo” Hood, 56, will be Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing and Bro. Michael “Bo” Gunter officiating.

Mr.  Hood passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital.  He was born November 12, 1969, in Cook County, Illinois,  to Raymond Lee Hood and Mary Lou Holliday Hood.

Scottie was born in Illinois but  later moved to Decatur, Alabama, where he met Karen Simmons. They married and had three beautiful daughters, who he always referred to as “the three D’s” and his girls were his world. Scottie was hardworking and never stopped going. He worked for many years for Johnny Austin, where he showcased his amazing woodworking skills. He could do anything with his hands.  He lived a hard life and loved like no other.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister- Mary Hood and brothers- Andrew and Joey Hood.

Survivors include

Three Daughters- Destiny Owens (Zac)
Danielle Morgan (Nathaniel), and
Dakota Hood,

Five Brothers- Victor Hood,
Donald Hood,
Ricky Hood,
Martin Hood, and
James Hood,

Six Sisters- Darlene Posey,
Loretta Vest,
Linda Wesley,
Diane Wilhite,
Priscilla Stanford, and
Margaret Hood.

Four Grandchildren –  Jesse Wallace,
Samuel Wallace,
Paisley Morgan and
Levi Griffith.

Numerous nieces and nephews

Longtime friend and employer –  Johnny Austin.
