Scottie Don Shirley, age 74, Albertville, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at St. Vincent Medical Center East.
There will be a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Forrest Home Cemetery. Rev. Lonnie Craft and Greg Shirley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Wesley Shirley, Patrick Shirley, Jamison Johnston, Jordan Johnston, Shane Baugh, Jonathan Mills and Cole Shirley. Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Kilgo and Jimmy Harris VFW Post 6837 of Boaz. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 until 2 before the service.
He is survived by his wife; Sammie Shirley, Son; Greg Shirley (Sheila), daughter; Alison Blackmon (Michael), son; Scott Sherman(Stacey) ,step-children; Destin (Shane) Baugh and Mitch Bopp, grandchildren; Alicia Johnston, Jamison Johnston, Jordan Johnston, Eli Shirley, Patrick Shirley, Wesley Shirley, Colin, Carly, Eden and Mikah Sherman, Rory and Camdyn Craft and Madison Buckman, eleven great-grandchildren; brothers; Charles Shirley and Stanley Shirley (Betty) , sisters; Kay Pepper (Douglass) and Fay Kilgo (Homer),a host of nieces and nephews along with a host of great nieces and his loving pet, Jory.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ivor Dean Shirley King, father, Charles Ralph Shirley, granddaughter, Kayla Shirley and brother, Don Shirley.
