Scott Allman, 43, passed away Saturday, October 17, at Huntsville Hospital. Scott was born at Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, AL and moved with his family to Huntsville in 1988. He graduated from Grissom High School in 1996, the University of Montevallo in 2000, and finished his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix in 2004.
Scott’s professional life included serving two years as a Government Contractor with the US Army in Kosovo and Bosnia, coming back to Huntsville with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 2004. For several years, he provided technical and business development support to CSC and other companies in the field of Geospatial Information Systems.
In high school, Scott’s love of music and theater led him to performing in numerous operas with the Huntsville Opera Theater. Later in life, he performed with several Huntsville performing arts organizations.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earnest and Marie Allman of Athens, GA and Lewis and Betty Hoff of Phoenix, AZ. Survivors include his wife, Kristy Allman of Talladega, AL; his father, Dr. Thomas Allman of Huntsville; his mother, Carol Allman of Manchester, TN; and his brother, Jason Allman and wife, Dr. Katarina Allman, and their children, Jake and Matthew of Huntsville.
A private family service will be held.
