Scarlett Windham Reeder, 84, departed this life on May 22, 2026 from Generations Assisted Living where she had resided for 5 months. Scarlett was a Pontotoc County (Ecru) native, the widow of William Lynn “Bill” Reeder who died October 30, 2025, and the mother of Jeff Reeder (Lee), Walter Reeder(Kim) , Missy Sheffield (Eric) and grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Scarlett spent her life educating children with special needs. She retired as Administrator over Special Education Programs with Pontotoc City Schools, after over 3 decades of service. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Tupelo, a devoted wife, Mother Grandmother and friend to many.
A service celebrating her life will be held at Noon (12 PM) Friday, May 29, 2026 in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church of Tupelo with Rev. John Brock officiating. Inurnment will follow in Stuart Place Columbarium on the campus of First Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 11 AM-service time at Noon in McFadden Hall at the Church.
