Sararose Huggins Rogers – Obituary

Sararose Huggins age 76 of Corner, passed away Tuesday September 5, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Bay Minette High School; she attended the University of Alabama and was a huge Alabama fan. She was a longtime member of Westwood Baptist Church in Forestdale and was an avid quilter.
Memorial services will be held Saturday September 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Corner. Dr. Sammie Reid will officiate. Burial of cremains will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 pm at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Terry and Bert Huggins; mother-in-law, Julia E. Wilson; father-in-law, Nedom Daniel Rogers; brothers-in-law, Howard L. Clark and Frank E. Rogers and sisters-in-law, Peggy Rogers Sandburg and Nell F. Rogers.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Dan Rogers of Corner; children, Dan Rogers III of Atlanta, Vanessa Rogers of Birmingham and Walter B. Rogers (Krista) of Corner; grandson, Coleman Rogers; sister, Margaret Louise Clark of Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law, Neda Rogers Hinkle (Bobby) of Graysville; brother-in-law, Robert Sandburg of Benson, AZ; and her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Second Chance Friends at SecondChanceFriends.org or to the Salvation Army.
