Sarah Louise Peace, 84, of Decatur, AL formally of Laceys Spring, AL passed away June 15, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Walter Leslie Peace; her parents, Alvie and Lena Greenhaw; three brothers, J.B. Greenhaw, Roy Greenhaw and Johnny Greenhaw; three sisters, Ida Robertson, Sina Sanford and Ruth Johnson; two daughters, Selena Sharp and Redia Summerford; one son-in-law, Willie Edward “Bill” Sharp; three grandsons, Daniel Sharp, Kalvin Peace, and Christopher Summerford; and three great grandchildren, McKinley Rae Boyd, Nora Doran and Kalani LeeAnn Peace.
Surviving are six sons, Leslie Wayne Peace, Anthony Dale Peace, Paul Wayne Sanford, Johnny Staten, Bill Summerford and Jr. Summerford; four daughters, Virginia Summerford, Walnetia Noe, Taledia Murphy and Sarah King; two brothers, Elvie Greenhaw and Oliver Greenhaw of Mississippi; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 4:00 PM to at Calvary Holiness Church. Services will be held at Calvary Holiness Church, Friday at 1:00 PM with Bro. Leslie Peace officiating. Pallbearers will be Aaron Boyd, Joshua Boyd, Joshua Summerford, Jonathan Sharp, C.J. Cunningham and Ean Peace. Junior pallbearers will be Kanon King Jr. and Klive King.
Interment will be in Fields Cemetery.
