Sarah Gladys Rodgers, 102, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Donaldson Care Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
She was born on Thursday, September 13, 1923, in Ardmore, Tennessee to the late Mr. William Berry Wallace and the late Mrs. Lena Arnett Wallace. Sarah, being 102 years of age at the time of her passing, puts her in the elite club of being a centenarian.
She lived all her life in Ardmore community where she was a member at Cash Point Baptist Church. In her free time, Sarah enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, and farming.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, A.L. “Bud” Rodgers, two brothers, William Polk Wallace and Robert Wade Wallace, as well as three sisters: Ruth Wallace, Mary Miller, and Josephine Beard.
Sarah is survived by several cherished nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Mrs. Rodgers at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM. A joint funeral service for Sarah Rodgers and her nephew Mark Wallace is scheduled to begin immediately after visitation with service time beginning at 1:00 PM. Bro. Derrick Moose will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Blanche Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
