Sarah Garrett Larson, beloved mother and grandmother (affectionately known as Mimi), of Elkmont, Al, passed away peacefully in Huntsville, Al with her family by her side on 17 July 2024, leaving a void her family will be unable to fill.
Sarah’s love extended to her daughters, Paula (Mark) Justice, Susan (Sean) Donald, and bonus daughter Vicky (Larry) Turner, who remember her as a nurturing soul, always ready with a comforting word, an engaging story and an amazing meal. Her five grandchildren, Kelcy, Logan, Sarah-Faith, Alex and Jack will carry on her legacy of kindness and joy.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Larson; sister Martha Castellow; grandchildren Donovan Donald; mother-in-law Marcia Garrett; and mother Loma Loraine Brock.
Services to honor and celebrate the life of Sarah will be held on 23 July 2024, at 10:15am at the Alabama National Cemetery, located at 3133 Highway 119 Montevallo, AL 35115. Following the graveside service, Sarah will be laid to rest at the Alabama National Cemetery alongside her husband James.
