Sarah Cornelia Chandler Finley, age 89 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020. She was a member of Eastern Star and Corinth Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Maggie Finley speaking and Russ McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Littleville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Finely, Patrick Finley, John Cox, Levi Norris, John Potts and Charles Frazier.
Ms. Finley is survived by her children, John Scott (Frieda) Finley, Homewood, AL and Mark Alan (Terri) Finley, Haleyville, AL; grandchildren, Molly Finley Martin, Maggie Finley, Christopher Finley & Patrick Finley; great grandchildren, Matthew Martin, Hope Finley and Chris Finley.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe and Bessie Gustava Chandler; husband, George Hubert Finley, Jr.; siblings, James Rowe Chandler, Billy Dave Chandler, Majorie Juanita Elliott, Bessie Eileen Elliott & stillborn baby sister; and grandson, Matthew Finley.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Harvest of Hope Food Pantry c/o First Baptist Church, 1103 21st St., Haleyville, AL 35565.
