Sarah Ann Matthews Littrell, 92, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026. She was retired as a cashier at Florence Utilities. Sarah graduated from Sheffield High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sheffield, and later in life Highland Baptist Church, Florence. Her hobby was growing and nurturing plants.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at noon in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Chris Underwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Littrell, whom she married June 12, 1952; and her father, Milton Eugene “Doc” Matthews, and her mother, Sarah Barnes Matthews.
Sarah is survived by her children, Jimmy Littrell (Deb), Donna McLauchlin (Bill), Karen Preston (Jimmy), and John Littrell (Melissa); grandchildren, Kendell Curles (Andy), Anna O’Daniel, Nathan O’Daniel, Vince Littrell (Molly), Megan Simmons, Taylor Littrell; and ten great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Littrell, John Littrell, Vince Littrell, Nathan O’Daniel, Bill McLauchlin, and Jimmy Preston.
