Sarah Ann Crider, age 65, of Central Heights, died Thursday, December 19, 2013. The visitation will be Sunday, December 22nd from 6-9:00p.m. at Valley View House of Prayer. The funeral will be Monday, Dec. 23rd at 2:00p.m. at Valley View House of Prayer. The body will lie in state from 1-2:00p.m. Bro. Larry Burbank, Bro. Gerry Duboise, and Bro. Chris Darby will be officiating. Interment will be at Rhodesville Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband E.J. Crider, parents, George and Earline Burns, brother, Tommy Burns and grandson Meyson Odom.
Mrs. Crider was a homemaker and was the owner and cook of the former Gravelly Springs Restaurant.
She was a member of Valley View House of Prayer.
Survivors include her son Michael Crider (Nikki); daughters, Tonya Odom (Ben), Leanne Scott (Gregg), and Morgan Odom (Anthony); brothers, Jerry Burns and L.C. Burns; sisters, Betty Burns, Goldie Smith, and Ruth Lanier, 8 grand-children, Mackenzie and Maguire Odom, Samantha, Hope, and Hanna Crider, and CJ and Gavin Scott, 2 great-grandchildren Connor Odom and Bently Taylor, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Crider, Rick Crider, Donnie Crider, Tim Lanier, Tony Burns, and Norman White. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
