Funeral for Sara Nell “Sally” Collier, 79, of Decatur will be Sunday, August 2, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Edward LouAllen and Bill Weems officiating. Burial will be in Boger Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Collier, who died Friday, July 31, 2015, at her residence, was born April 22, 1936, in Lawrence County to Joe and Climmer Smith. She was a retired seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Walter R. Collier.
Survivors include three sons, Jamie (Marilyn) Collier, Freddie (Samantha) Collier and Nick (Leah) Collier; two daughters, Nancy (Jerry) Jones and Joy (Zane) Gray; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy C. Smith and James C. Smith; and sister, Patricia Barnett.
Pallbearers will be Danny Smith, David Smith, Keith Steele, Deon Muston, Gene Weems and Scotty Bumgart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith, Matthew Weems, William Thompson and Chase Barrett.
