Sara Dean Walsh, 81, of Elkmont, died on Friday, July 17, 2015, at her home.
Born Saturday, April 28, 1934, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late William Charles (Bill) Hodges and the late Mary Aileen Hobbs Hodges. She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Patrick (Joe) Walsh and brother, James C. (Sonny) Hodges. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and was a member of Hollands Gin Church of Christ.
Surviving is brother, Hilliard Wayne (Laura) Hodges, of Decatur; sisters-in-law, Barbara Hodges, of Elkmont and Joyce Higgins, of Huntsville, Patty Hooven, of Ardmore, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Kasey Harbin and Frank Walton officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
