Sara Darnell Stacey, age 81, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at St. Thomas – Midtown Hospital in Nashville.
She was born February 2, 1944, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late William and Nellie Collins Darnell. She was employed for 35 years at Cosmolab working in the packaging department. She loved to cook, mow, and work in her yard keeping it in pristine condition. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Freddie Stacey and nine siblings.
She is survived by her son, Fred Eugene (Lisa) Stacey of Lewisburg; daughter, Vicky (Steve) Witherow of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Ben Stacey, Ethan Stacey, and Stephen Witherow; sister Peggy Evans (Steve) of Lewisburg; sister-in-law Patsy Coomes; caregiver Sandra Sanders.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Stacey, Scotty Crawford, Bill Maynard, Freddie Lee, Shuan Arndt, and Jimmy King
