Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Coffey Barnes, age 88, of Decatur, who died, Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Main, will be Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home, with Rev. Ben Hayes officiating with visitation two hours prior to service.
Mrs. Barnes was born October 31, 1928, in Oxford, AL to Curtis G. Henderson and Roberta Watts Henderson.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by one son, Jeffery Coffey (Darlene) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter Sharon Ward (James) of Decatur; six grandchildren: Stephanie Kish, Shannon Herston, David Ward, Elizabeth Greenleaf, Benjamin Coffey and Danielle White; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Hardee of Huntsville.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley and Southside Baptist Church Music Ministries.
