Sandy Kay Wright, 66, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Born November 24, 1959, Sandy was the daughter of the late James Gilbert Wright, Sr. and Mildred Hebert Wright.
Sandy will be remembered for the many friendships she made throughout her life. She had a way of making friends who became like family, and she enjoyed sharing stories about the people and experiences that were important to her. Her family and friends will remember the conversations, stories, and memories they shared with her over the years.
Sandy is survived by her children, David Wright (Amy), Hope Wright, and Maegan Winchester (Lee); and her grandchildren, Donovan Nicholson (Ashley) Eli Wright, Emma Kate Wright, Gracie Wright (Kobe), Drake Garcia, Aaryn Vines, Sam Winchester, and Oliver Winchester; and her siblings, Larry Cudd (Millie) and Scherrie Kennedy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Gilbert Wright, Sr. and Mildred Hebert; her twin brother, Randy Wright; her brothers, Bobby Wright, James Gilbert Wright, Jr. (Jimmy), and Charles Cudd (Chuck); her sister, Dorothy Hubbard; and her beloved dog, Bullet
A service celebrating Sandy’s life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo, MS. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the service at 6:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/livestream. Holland Funeral Directors are honored to be serving the friends and family.
Sandy will be cremated in accordance with her wishes, at a later date her family will honor her request to have her ashes scattered in Grand Isle, LA.
