Sandra Shell Blackwood, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was co-owner of Sunrise Arabian Horses and was a member of Jesus’s army. She was preceded in death by her father, James M. Shell and a daughter, Donna Robinson.
She is survived by her husband, James Blackwood; two daughters, Robyn Young (Macky) and Paula Maltbie (Scott); her mother, Pauline Shell; two brothers, James Ronald Shell (Evelyn) and Andrew J. Shell (Gail); also nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; her beloved friend Shari White, and her four legged daughter, Susie Belle.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Neel, with service following at 2 p.m. with Brother Tom Campbell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of the Valley or the American Cancer Society.
