Funeral service for Sandra “Sandy” Hogue, age 71, of Moulton, will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Kay officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hogue, who died Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born February 3, 1944, in Decatur, AL, to Ollie Price and Pauline Coffee Price Smith. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Hogue, father Ollie Hogue and sister Ann Goodwin.
Mrs. Hogue was a faithful member of Central Park Baptist Church and a graduate of Decatur High School, Class of 1962. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Dewey Hogue, two daughters, Lisa Newberry (Darren) of Decatur, and Kelli Wright (Paul) of Hartselle, mother Pauline Smith of Decatur, sister Wilba Newby (Jerry) of Harvest, five grandchildren Alaina Newberry of Tuscaloosa, Katie Newberry of Auburn, Kylie Wright of Hartselle, D.J. Newberry of Decatur and Brayden Wright of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be Don Fields, Johnny Moore, Hoyt Miller, William Lee, Johnny Johnson and Steve Stovall.
