Sandra Louise Davis Richey, age 74, of Florence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 4, from 6- 8:30 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral will be Monday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. at St. James Methodist Church, with Chris Weldon officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Sandra was proud that she had been a member of St. James Methodist Church for 63 years. She was an exceptionally loving and caring matriarch of the family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Richey; daughter, Martha Jane Richey; and great-granddaughter, Emery Beth.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Richey Knight (Danny Cantrell), of Hackleburg and Max Richey (Gina), of Alabaster; special children, Lucretia, Gary, Butch, and Karen; brother, Edward Davis (Mary Jean); soul sister, Janice Payne; five granddaughters and 21 great-grandchildren.
