Ms. Sandra Kay Brown, age 63, of Scottsboro, ended her fight against cancer on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 15, 1955 in Scottsboro, AL. She was a fierce and hard working woman that endured monumental trials and tribulations as mother, grandmother, and sister.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Mark Register officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Brown will be sadly missed by her children, Mark A. Register of Scottsboro, AL, Dorothea G. Conner of Scottsboro, AL, and Rickey J. Brown, Jr. of Tacoma, WA; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, one sister, and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lydia Johnston; father, Walter Johnston; and sister, Linda Knopps.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
