Sandra Jo Nixon, age 62, of Danville died Monday, March 18, 2013 in Decatur.
Mrs. Nixon was a native of Jefferson County where she was raised in Fairfield and a graduate of Fairfield High School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Liddie Fowler.
She is survived by her husband, Richard “Hippie” Nixon; two daughters, April Dawn McDonald (Michael) and Becky Brown (Lee); four grandchildren, Cody McDonald, Brandy McDonald, James Brown and Jade Brown; one sister, Judy Antonio (Norman); one nephew, Norman Antonio Jr.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield, AL 35228, with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
