Sandra Gay Thomas, 76, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 12 until 2 pm at Hampton Heights Baptist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow with Jeremy Sanderson officiating. Interment will follow at Community Cemetery on Baker Lane.
Sandra was a long-time member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, and VBS for over 20 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Burden; and granddaughter, Hollyn Kade Long.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Steve Thomas; children, Stephen Wright, Leslie Wright, and Staci Madak (Ross); brother, James Burden, Jr.; grandchildren, Bryan Feemster (Elisha), Stephen Wright Jr., Keely Burns (Josh), and Owen Madak; and great – grandchildren, Maddi Feemster, Penny Feemster, Eleanor Feemster, and Eli Repass.
