Funeral service for Sandra Ellen (Gleisberg) Romberg, age 67, of Decatur, will be Monday, June 23, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Sherry Harris officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church. Graveside service and interment will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014, 12:00 p.m., at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Mrs. Romberg, who died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at her residence, was born November 6, 1946, in Tuscaloosa, to William Gleisberg and Billie Fred Johnson Gleisberg. She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Edward Romberg, and her father.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Romberg of Decatur; one son, Daniel Romberg of Decatur; one daughter, Dana Herwig (Stephen) of Madison; her mother, Billie Fred Gleisberg of Tuscaloosa; one brother, Lieutenant Colonel Jim Gleisberg, USA, Retired (Trisha) of Lansing, KS; one sister, Daryl Denison (Charles) of Springfield, MI; and three grandchildren, Bradleigh, Kayla, and Carter Herwig.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
