Sandra Cleveland SimmonsSandra Cleveland Simmons passed away on May 6, 2025, in Jasper, Alabama surrounded by family, at the age of 78. Born on December 3, 1946, Sandra was known for her strong spirit, loving heart, and deep devotion to her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved sons, Joey Simmons (Karen) and Scott Simmons (Donna); grandchildren, Scottie Simmons (Dia), Cassie  Donaldson (Kale), Hannah Gardiner (Preston), and John Rex Simmons (Hannah); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Skylen, Hazlee,  Mia Klaire, Allie Jo, Wyatt, and John Kye.  She also leaves behind her dearest lifelong friends, Judy East, Talma Jenkins, and Carolyn Wilson Likes, along with a host of loving nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jessie Cleveland; her sister, Jan Moore; and her brothers, Lonnie Cleveland and  Ronald Cleveland.

She graduated from Curry High School in 1965 and carried the values of hard work and loyalty with her throughout her life. For many years,  Sandra worked at Gene Reeves Lincoln Mercury, where she was admired for her professionalism and work ethic. In 1991, she began a new  chapter in her career as the finance manager at Star Automotive, where she worked faithfully for Ronnie Kilgore and Jerry Williams. Her  dedication, honesty, and commitment to excellence earned her the respect and trust of coworkers and customers alike.  Sandra loved  spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching Alabama football, enjoying Blue Bell ice cream, and relaxing while swinging on her carport. These simple pleasures brought her the most joy, and she filled every moment with love and laughter.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Friday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, located at 1200 Burrows Crossing Rd, Jasper, AL 35504. Visitation for family will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by visitation for friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
