Mrs. Sandra Benefield, age 79 of Guntersville passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at Shepherds Cove Hospice.
Her funeral service will be Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. at The Fellowship Church. Interment will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Rev. Allen Atkins and Rev. Donald Cotten will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Don Shirey, Mike Shirey, Jeffrey Thompson, Dennis Thompson, John Benefield and Kelly Benefield. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Benefield, Shane Wallace, Matthew Wallace and Chris Croft. Music will be provided by Claire Hammer.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 at the church before the service.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years; David Benefield, Sr., sons; David Benefield, Jr., (Lesa Benefield) and Doug Benefield (Bill Alverson), granddaughter; Emily B. Wallace (Mike Wallace), great-grandchildren; David Riley and Emma Claire Wallace and siblings; Shirley Shirey, Barbara Thompson, Wilburn Hall (Lisa Hall), Delta Benefield (Bobby Benefield) and Margaret Wallace.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Shepherds Cove Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
