Sanda Lora Pence, 68, of New Hope, passed away Sunday. Sanda loved the Lord and spending time worshiping Him with her church family. She was blessed with a big family including many cousins that she grew up with. She will be remembered for the love she had for her husband, kids, grandkids, and all her family and friends.

She was a traveler at heart, she was always up for a road trip to the beach, the mountains or anywhere in between. Sanda was a caretaker. She took care of both of her parents during their final years on earth. In her free time, she could be found fishing, putting together puzzles or coloring.

She was preceded in death by father, Sammie Hill, Jr.; mother, Ila Mae Knight Hill; and sister, Shirley Chambers.

Surviving are husband, Charlie Pence; son, Anthony (Windy) Pence; daughters, Rachael (Woody) Maples and Rhonda (Adam) Kelly; brothers, Sanford and Sherman Hill; grandchildren, Hunter Maples, Blake Pence, Hayden Kelly, Grant Maples, Aubrey Pence, and Harper Kelly; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews; and special cousins, Carri and Debo.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 1:00 pm with Bro. Wayne Walls, Edward Atchley officiating.

Interment will be in Hayden Cemetery.
