Mr. Samuel Maurice Turner was born October 29, 1951 in Huntsville, Alabama to Sandy and Nellie Burton Turner. He passed this life on Monday, May 9, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sandy Turner; mother, Nellie Burton Turner; two brothers, Lewis Turner of Ypsilanti, MI and John Turner of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Clara Mae Brayboy, Martha Walker and Dorothy Jean Harris, all of Huntsville, AL.
He leaves to cherish his memories: four sons, Maurice Thomas of Huntsville, Alabama, Dajaun (Kim) Gesco, Sam (Nina) Turner, and Dwayne Turner of Ypsilanti, Michigan; one daughter, Mamie Carline Nance of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Elnora (Oliver) King and Helen Turner, both of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister-in-law; Lula Mae Turner; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday May 13, 2016 at the Royal Chapel of Memories with Pastor Milton Lloyd Hewlett officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016 and 8:30 a.m. until time of service on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Royal Funeral Home.
