Dr. Samuel J. Ribis May 23, 1938 – November 13, 2014 Sam was born in Rochester, NY. He attended Aquinas High School in Rochester, where he played football. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, then went on to Emory Medical School in Atlanta, where he earned his MD in 1967. He served in the United States Air Force for three years. He is predeceased by his parents, James and Liberta, his sister, Sandra, and his brother, Richard. He is survived by his son, Mark Ribis (Wendy), his daughters, Lesli Seta (Marco) and Jessica Keir (John), eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild, his three sisters, Jinny, Marlene and JoAnn (Mike), and his dear friends, Chinwen and Weimin Kwauk. There are no services planned. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the UGA Foundation/G.R.A.C.E. Fund at the College of Veterinary Medicine, 501 D.W.
