Sammy S. Bentley, 78, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Elaine, AR to Barnest S. and Lois A. Boyd Bentley. He was a truck driver and a member of the Chicago Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 6, 12 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Bill Harper officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 10-12 at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by one sister, Pauline Strickland (Sam); two daughters, Tabitha Reeves and Melissa Bentley and his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Marie Wertinburg Bentley; his parents and brothers and sisters, Dexter Bentley, Wilstine Camp, Geraldine George, Hubert Bentley and Junior Bentley.
