Sammy Lee Williams, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his home. Born October 18, 1958, in Arcadia, FL, to Kreston and Mary Lou Keith Williams, he had a deep love for his family, horses, fishing, and his chickens. He enjoyed attending church every Sunday and Wednesday evening, cherishing his church family as if they were his own. He was truly the best friend anyone could hope for.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Tina Williams; his children, Samantha Morphis (Nathan), Nick Allred (Breanna), Jayna Devauld (Eric), and Denna Sullivan; his 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Joyce Bailey (Leland) and family, Donnie Williams (Cheryl) and family, Joey Morris (Debra) and family, and Lynn Morris and family; as well as his parents, Carol Jane Morris (Rayburn Swanson).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kerston and Mary Lou Williams, as well as Tommy Gene Morris, and by his siblings, Ellen Sullivan (James), Linda Irby (William), Wanda Wells (Dale), Steve Williams, and Ricky Morris.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Pontotoc Apostolic Church, with Bro. Bennie Randolph and Bro. Ben Eldridge officiating. Visitation will take place Friday evening from 5 to 8 PM, and again on Saturday from 12 PM until the service begins. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Devon Sullivan, Edward Sullivan, Kendalle Morphis, Braxton Morphis, Colton Morphis, and Jamie Sullivan, with honorary pallbearers Leslie Irby and Tim Monts.
