Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Allen, age 52, are scheduled for 2 PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Grey’s Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Allen passed away late Monday in Lexington. He was born March 2, 1963 in Memphis. He was a logger, a member of the American Legion and Decaturville Pentecostal Church, and loved being on his tractor, riding horses, and watching birds. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Willam Henry “JayBird” Allen. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Mrs. Wendy Broadway Allen; two sons, Patrick Allen and Cody Busby; two daughters, April (Brandon) Rhodes and Savannah Busby; two brothers, Timmy (Shirley) Allen and Kenney (Angie) Allen; three sisters, Tammy Allen, Cammy Smith, and Sandy (Jeff) Lindsey; five grandchildren, Lauren, Nathaniel, Katelyn, and Emma Rhodes, and Carly B. Allen; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie Sue Roach (Larry) Newman; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers make donations at Decatur County Bank to the Sammy Allen Memorial Fund.
