Funeral service for Sammie S. Hubbert, 88, of Decatur will be Thursday, September 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gary Formby officiating. There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Hubbert, who died Monday, September 9, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born August 21, 1925, in Talladega to Sam Studdard and Nixie Thomas Studdard. She worked at Decatur General Hospital for 35-plus years.
Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Hubbert; one son, Alan Hubbert (Debra) of Decatur; one grandson, Brian Barringer (Tera) of Madison; four great-grandchildren; and special friend, Jeanne Reinhardt of Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation Nursing Scholarship Fund.
