Mrs. Morris was born August 9, 1942 in Springfield to the late Otis Lee and Ester Eden Reid. She was a natural born care giver keeping children in her home for years. She loved them all and treated them all like her own. Friends of her own children loved being at their house because they felt so welcomed there. Having children at a young age herself, she often said that they all grew up together. When she had time for hobbies of her own, she discovered that she loved Bingo and would go and play whenever she had the chance. Later in life when she suffered from Dementia, it was such a blessing that she still told everyone how much she loved them and showed them all that she did.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by the father of her children, Mr. Alford Hawkins Morris, her daughters, Beverly Jane Morris and Tammy Annette Morris, her son-in-law, Paul Roark, her daughter-in-law, Tonya Morris, her brother, Thomas Reid, and her sisters, Joyce Qualls, Bobbie Keith, Beverly Pulley and Dorothy Porter.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her children, Melinda Roark, Timothy “Bubba” Morris, Susan and Delvin Hester, and Dennis and Jill Morris, and the granddaughters she raised, Jacqulyn Swisher and Casey Morris. Mrs. Morris is also survived by 13 more loving grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren that will all miss her very much.
