Sammie Lee Hyde, age 86 of Dora passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Brasfield Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He was a retired plumber helped anyone that needed help in any way he could. He loved sitting on the porch watching his grandkids play and swim. Sammie married his wife Faye on August 25, 1961 and they just celebrated their sixty-first anniversary.
Preceding him in death were his son, Lannie Dale Hyde; grandson, Lannie Dwayne Hyde; grandparents, Irene and Jack Farley and Ves and Missouri Hyde; parents, Sam and Florence Hyde; brothers, JC, Daniel, and David Hyde; sister, Jennie Lou Hyde Farley; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Thomas, Jerry Russell, Lee Farley, and Derial Graves; sisters-in-law, Linda Russell, Linda Drummond, and Ann Graves.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Hyde, daughters, Vickie Hyde (Jeff) and Jennifer Wilbert (Robbie); daughter-in-law, Tammy Burns; special sister, Judy Hyde and brother, Roy Hyde; special sisters-in-law, Helen Hicks (Ronnie), Linda Hyde, Nita Russell, and Juanita Russell; grandchildren, Nikki Park (Micah), Emily Kelley (Nathan), Christopher Hyde, Callie and Grayson Wilbert, Heather Courington (John), Misty Bentley (Eric), and Aaron Jones; great-grandchildren, Hunter Hyde (Haylee), William and Kensington Park, Mady Morton, Brooklyn Morton, and Harper Courington; and a host of nieces and nephews.
