Sally Marie Gooch age 96 of Athens, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Gooch was born February 11, 1921 in Limestone County, AL to Raz Adams and Mollie Echols Adams.
Services will be Tuesday, July 18, 2017 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Charlie McAdams officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
She was a member of Walnut Grove.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas W. Gooch, beloved daughter-in-law, Joyce Leopard Gooch and several brothers and sisters.
Survived by two sons, Wayne Gooch and Larry Gooch and wife, June both of Athens; two daughters, Judy Roberson and husband, Franklin and Linda McCurry both of Athens; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Neil Gooch, Scott Roberson, Shane McCurry, Blake Roberson, Cameron Gooch, Michael Gooch, Frank Thornton and Dwight Gooch.
