Sallie Ruth Nave age 76 of Athens, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Nave was born July 18, 1937 in Pope MS to Joseph L. Stogner and Sallie Mae Wright Stogner.
Services will be Sunday, March 9, 2014 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Nave was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church, a valuable representative of Hospice of Limestone County. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survived by a daughter, Debbie Putman of Athens; son, Roger Nave of Athens; two brothers, Jack Stogner of Las Vegas, Nevada and Joe Stogner of Dalton, GA; two sisters, Carolyn Stogner Bain of Tampa, FL and Bobbie Jean Morton of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Jennifer Nave, Lauren Putman and Lesley Nave all of Athens; four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ackerman, Bert Putman, Lawrence Holt, Joe Bailey, Lynn Haynes and Kenneth Patterson.
