Safeplace receives check for $5,000 from MIke McDaniel
FLORENCE – Over 6-thousand ballots were cast the week of May 9 in the Florence Main Street Restaurant Week. The week was a promotion to showcase the Downtown and nearby independently owned and operated restaurants. and from all accounts, the week was a terrific success. 
The ballots that were cast during that week were to select a public service organization to receive a check for $5000.00.
Today (Thursday) the winner, Safeplace, was announced at Presenting Sponsor Headquarters of McDaniel Window and Door.

The Charities who were in the running included the Salvation Army Women’s’ Auxiliary, Pets Are Worth Saving, Scope 310, Hearts of Alabama – Save, Rescue, Adopt (HASRA).
