Sadie Lucille Potts Moon age 94 of Winchester, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 13, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Winchester, Tennessee on September 7, 1926 to the late Thomas Arthur Potts and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Coker Potts. Mrs. Moon opened up her home for over fifty years as a hair dresser in Chattanooga. She enjoyed working in her yard especially in her flower beds, crocheting and bird watching. She will be remembered by her family as an excellent cook, very straight forward and a devoted member of the Way of the Cross Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Austin Dewillis Moon Sr.; infant twins, Mary Ellen and DeWillis Moon Jr.; siblings, Mary Ella Clancy, Pauline Perry, Lula McAmis, Elizabeth Wilkinson, James Potts, Eugene Potts, Ozzie Potts, Patrick Potts and Frank Potts. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, special nephew and caregiver, Johnny McAmis; special nieces and caregivers, Debra Garner, Mabel Anderson, Myra Rigney, Sandra Davis and Cookie Boerding; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev.
