Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruthie L. Johnson, age 67 of Lineville, will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Mark Smith and Bro. Stu Ropka officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Mrs. Johnson passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Lineville Health and Rehab. She was born in Butler, Georgia and lived most of her life in that area. After graduating high school, she worked for several years as a waitress and cook at Western Sizzlin’ in Lagrange, GA and Kissimmee, Fl. She also worked for Haynes Hosery in Lagrange, GA for 20 years as a production manager. She lastly worked for the Private Line Sewing Company in Franklin, GA for 7 to 8 years. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed painting, drawing, crafts, dancing and singing. She was involved in her church and was strong in her faith and beliefs. She was an out-going and out-spoken woman, with a loving and charismatic personality. Mrs. Johnson was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and sister.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Curtis Daniel Goforth; two daughters: Constance Lynn Salters (Randy) of Sylacauga, and Waverly Elizabeth Lashley (Steven) of Roanoke; three sons: Roy Lewis Dean Jr (Amanda) of Hollins, Christopher Guy Dean of Sylacauga, and Mitchell Parham of Lagrange, GA; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Rita Lynne Bailey (Harlan) of Franklin, GA, Jackie Cowart (A.J.) of West Point, GA, and Maesal Justus (Winferd) of Clayton, GA; two brothers: Thomas Standridge (Debbie) of Phenix City, and Frank Standridge (Lisa) of Holopaw, FL, plus several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Hilliard Olin and Maecel Hogg Standridge; her husbands: Roy Dean Sr, James Gay Sr, and C.J. Johnson; one infant child; one grandson, Christian Nathaniel “Nate Nate” Dean; one great-grandchild; two sisters: Gloria Standridge and Shirley Paige; and one brother, Joseph Standridge Sr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Lineville Health and Rehab.

Her visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
