Ruthie Gaynell Sartin, 80, of Tremont, passed away on July 24, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 2, 1934 in Marion County, AL to the late Lewis and Lucy Head Bailey. Ruthie was a retired nurse from NMMC where she worked for many years providing compassionate care and being a patient advocate. Her passion was her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and she loved to sew. They all loved their Granny. She was a member of Calvary Praise and Worship Center in Tremont.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Davidson officiating. Burial will be in the Old Bethel church Cemetery in Marion County, AL. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband J.D. Sartin, three Daughters, Frances Loyd of Hernando, Judy Hughes of Plantersville, Marilyn Guin of Tremont; Son, Stevie Sartin of Tremont; 9 grandchildren; 15 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Infant Daughter, Sisters: Nancy Grace Sartin, Willie Bell Godsey, Lennie Mae Sartin, Minnie Lee Walker, Pearlie Chestine.
Visitation is today, July 25th, from 5:00-8:00and Saturday July 26th from 8:00 am till service time at 2:00 at Senter Funeral Home.
