Ruth Rebecca Britt, 94, of Athens, passed away on July 11th, 2023, at Millennium Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on August 13th, 1928, to Verbon and Willie (Andrews) Thomas.
Mrs. Britt is survived by her nieces Sandra McLemore (Tom), Sonya Mitchell (Paul), Faye Adams (Gary), Suzy Morris, Katherine Jean Morris, Anne Lamprecht, Sherry Hundshrucker, Laura Bealfy, Robin Thomas, Carla Brown (Don), Marla Hatch (Todd), and Cindy Putman; nephews Larry Thomas, Glenn D. Thomas (Linda), Mark Putman (Mary), and Bill Putman; and a many great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Marylee Putman, Evelyn June Sledge; and brothers Vernon Thomas, Clinton Thomas, and O’Neal Thomas.
Graveside services for Mrs. Britt will be Wednesday, July 12th, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery with Donald Terry officiating.
