Ruth Prudence Peete, 96 of Athens, passed away on Monday, March 8th, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Peete was born on October 8th, 1924 to William N. Sandlin, Sr., and Gussie Barksdale Sandlin.
Mrs. Peete is survived by her daughter Christy Chittam (Dick); sons Keith Peete (Marilyn) and Rodney Peete (April); 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Peete; son Wayne Peete; and her parents.
Graveside service for Mrs. Peete will be Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 at 3:00pm at Athens City Cemetery, with John Gibson officiating.
Mrs. Peete loved sewing, cooking, and planting flowers. She was a member of Jones Road Church of Christ.
