Ruth Pridmore Crabtree, 83, of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her home. She was born September 27, 1936 to the late William DC Vandergriff and Lucy Cochran Vandergriff. Mrs. Crabtree was the bookkeeper at DeKalb Parts and attended Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Partain officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Dekalb Food Ministry, PO Box 241, Sylvania, AL 35988.
She is survived by her children, Richard Pridmore and Belynda Wicks and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Rhett Pridmore, Ryan Pridmore and wife, Kristy, Detha Wofford, and Bo Wofford; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Carter, Braxton, Patton, Zeb and Zander; sisters, Naomi Edison and Mary Phillips and husband, Harold.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Crabtree; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Pridmore; brothers, Orville, Willard, Bill, and Eli Vandergriff; and sisters, Johnnie Couch, Mozelle Aldridge, and Estelle Minor.
